    Day 2: resting in Georgia

Yesterday we spent the day just resting, and relaxing, at Sel badger's family's home. The say started with a nice, hot, cup of coffee... With salt in it 😦. I mixed up the containers when I was adding sugar to my coffee, and got and extra dose of wake up with it! It was in the perfect mug for me, at least.

We went for a quick trip down to the local Buc-ees, and that was a whole thing. Holy crap it was over stimulate-y, but we did come away with some travel snacks including some very yummy mocaccino fudge. It felt very theme park.

When we got back, I relaxed outside a bit with Sel's Mum doing some crochet and chatting. I'd never say _with_ someone and crafted before, except for stream, so it was a lovely treat. Saty eventually convinced me to get into the pool, which was lovely and cool!

In the evening, a bunch of family came over for pizza and a catch-up. They were all so kind and loving. It's always interesting seeing how other families are. Sel's 8 year old niece took a shine to me, and spent a large part of the evening snuggled up next to me, or sprawled in my lap, giving me all the important advice. I now have to watch Bluey, though be prepared for how emotional the big episode is. She also recommended the burger pizza because it tastes like burger! She was so trusting, and earnest. It really felt special getting that attention. When she first snuggle dup, I asked if it would be ok to put my arm over her (consent is important, even for little ones) and she yanked it around her saying she loved cuddles. Oh my heart. 😭

Went to bed early last night, so we could be on the road by 6am. The next step of the trip is heading from Georgia to Ohio. I'm awake at 5am posting this 😴

Next catch up, I'll be many miles north!Â
